I know I should be drawn to the light...but I want to ascend those shadowy steps.
The layout is all wonky, and I have no idea why!
Beautiful, atmospheric photo where the stones whisper stories!
I'll have a go at fixing it for you! Now! Hang in there!
beautiful mmt. simply love it.
One more of those lovely places in San Miguel! Thanks, as always, for the wonderful memories!

Can't do! Don't know why! The post looks OK in edit mode!
Found it! The photo was reading right alignment yet all the rest of the post was in the middle. Like a disagreement of commands! All fixed!
I don't know if that King James quote has been there all along, but I just now noticed it-what a great quote and I want to go to that amphitheater!
gorgeous shot- I love the state of Guanajuato!
I would so love to visit this part of Mexico. I love the texture of the cobblestones.
Lovely shot! Great shadows and stone walls!
Great haiku as always!
Looks like a cool and refreshing place.
Hola from Spain, right now from Malaga! We saw similar wall here but no shadows :)
Happy Sunday!

Mmmmmmmmmm, I really like the cultural aspect of this photo!!!! Like an ancient ruin.
Lovely play of light and shadow. I like that the shadowy part is in the foreground; there's a sensation of being led into the light.
I really love the big fat shadows the inner side of the arch leaves on the wall
Fantastic.
INteresting how the stairs give this photo some nice texture. Thanks for sharing. I've posted. hope you all enjoy!
So silent shadows.
Nice capture of tones, textures and mood...lovely.
What a beautiful scene the amphitheater makes. It has a very peaceful feel to it. It looks to be well maintained even though it is abandoned.
Happy Sunday!
Gorgeous!
Thank you for hosting!
I love the feeling of peace there and yes I could almost hear the ghosts of those long gone strutting sir lines! Joan
How peaceful and serene, I could easily sit there and while away an hour or two.
terrific shadow shot!
happy sunday!
Just back from New Mexico and I brought back some shadows too .. your's are lovely
I love the shadows, but in this case the light as well. Don't know why it's been abandoned, but it makes a great photo!
The sound of one hand
Clapping echos in the stones
And silent shadows.
Cheers!

Hard to believe this is abandonned. A lovely photo. My sister lives in San Miguel and I have sent her the link.
Love this shot.
It conjures up the feeling of ancient history and deep reflection.
Great verse you accompanied with it too.
Cheers,
Leah
Love this...it is like a puzzle with the shadows, steps, and stones all leading to somewhere special...almost like a step back in time. Great haiku...I can almost visualize the Shakespearean players milling about in their finery!
Lots of angles and directions my eyes could take. I know I'm late but my shadow shot looms large.
great shot! lot's of shadows!
Fantastic shot!
Just the sort of place I would love to take a wander.
