I don't know the muskie at all! Fascinating fish and shadow!
ReplyDeleteMuskie - 'jättihauki' in Finnish. Smaller one would be just 'hauki'. :)
ReplyDeleteSmaller one is very popular in Finland, soup of 'hauki' is good!
Happy Sunday!
I never tried muskie yet but hubby said it's good! Thanks for joining everyone!
ReplyDeletethat is quite cool! happy weekend!
ReplyDeletesee Kallmünz castle here
reminds me of my youth in Wisconsin. muskie fishing is big sport. :)
ReplyDeleteTexWisGirl has it right. The muskie is a coveted fishing prize in northern Wisconsin. Everyone wants to catch a muskie. They are large, have teeth, and once caught, are "put down" with a club that's kept in the boat for just that purpose. they've been known to bite off the toes of those who sit on the dock, dangling their feet in the water. at least, I've heard stories! thanks for hosting SSS2 each week. happy weekend to you.
ReplyDeleteWow!! 21 links already ahead of me and it's not even 8 am here on Mountain time! You guys are super dooper early birds! Love the Muskie shadow! It is a prize winning trophy, for sure!
ReplyDeleteI'm not too fond of eating fish, but I sure like catching them! I'm more of a bass fisherman(fisherwoman?), though. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a cool shadow, Rose! I've never tried Muskie, but I do like to eat fish so I'd be willing to give it a try sometime.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting!
There's something fishy about these shadows (oh dear, sorry, couldn't resist that one!!)

Freshwater fish are not that familiar to me - being near the coast, it is all salt water fish. But fishing is such a relaxing way to pass the time...
ReplyDeleteLove these ShadowShots! I see the shadow of the tail of a whitefish too. Oh yes Rose, I lurvvvvve to fish! So relaxing and when I actually catch something it makes a yummers meal!! Happy SSS!
ReplyDeletehappy to join this meme...interesting fishes..

ReplyDeleteI don't know the muskie either. The shot is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteCool SS...but that Muskie freaks me out a little...I think it's the thought of swimming with him :(
ReplyDeleteUnexpected. I imagine them singing ...Jack the knife.
ReplyDeleteI love fishing!
ReplyDeleteNice catch!
We never kept a fish long enough to capture a shadow. Great idea. Just caught them and ate them.
ReplyDeleteLove your fishy shadow, I'm afraid I would much rather eat the fish than catch it.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.
Yum, dinner! I don't like to catch them, but I do like to eat them. Sad but true. Neat wall and photo!
ReplyDeletefollowing, thanks for hosting

ReplyDeleteI hear they are very tasty, can't say as I've tried it... hubby (and even the kids) won't eat fish, so I tend to not make it... Love the picture!
