  2. Muskie - 'jättihauki' in Finnish. Smaller one would be just 'hauki'. :)
Smaller one is very popular in Finland, soup of 'hauki' is good!
    Happy Sunday!

  5. TexWisGirl has it right. The muskie is a coveted fishing prize in northern Wisconsin. Everyone wants to catch a muskie. They are large, have teeth, and once caught, are "put down" with a club that's kept in the boat for just that purpose. they've been known to bite off the toes of those who sit on the dock, dangling their feet in the water. at least, I've heard stories! thanks for hosting SSS2 each week. happy weekend to you.

  7. I'm not too fond of eating fish, but I sure like catching them! I'm more of a bass fisherman(fisherwoman?), though. :)

  11. Freshwater fish are not that familiar to me - being near the coast, it is all salt water fish. But fishing is such a relaxing way to pass the time...
