Shadowy fence

Rancho Los Alamitos, Long Beach, California

Shadowy the fences
Keeping in the stock;
Lovely are the footpaths
Where the walkers walk.

Illusion

Do not be misled by what you see around you,

or be influenced by what you see.

You live in a world which is

a playground of illusion,

full of false paths

false values and

false ideals

But you

are

not

part

of

that

world

Guide Dog

“Dogs are our link to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring--it was peace.”

― Milan Kundera

Dogs follow human rules, they even obey traffic rules!

Shadowy Mission

Mission San Antonio de Pala, Pala, California

Peering from the shadows
Into brilliant light,
Even mighty angels,
Tremble at the sight!

Eucalyptus Grove

Eucalyptus grove near the shore of Lake Skinner, Winchester, California

In the eucalyptus grove,
Evening coming on,
There's a hush of holiness,
Lasting until dawn.

Man that is born of woman is of few days, and full of trouble. He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.
- Job 14:1-2, King James Version
