Just a hint of shadows,
Where a feather lies
On the desert landscape
Under blazing skies.

I am always running into feathers on the ground like this and wonder which bird it came from. I'd like to think that it also means something really good, symbolically to run into feathers. Like a lucky charm.
ReplyDeletewonderful detailed photo - and your poem fits this image perfectly.
ReplyDeleteThe lighter than air feather has seemingly hit the earth with nary a thud...the bird seems to feel nothing as if floats on the thermals in search of a new nesting place...
ReplyDeleteThe shadow is a subtle as a feather is light.
ReplyDeleteYour poems always reinforce the photos.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fine little shadow. The poem suited it perfectly.
ReplyDeleteSo many simple but beautiful things in the world. Have a blessed week.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's going to get more blazing as the weeks go by! Great find! Thanks for hosting.
