Ironwood tree, Sonoran Desert, Southern Arizona
Through a shadowy portal,
Emerging into the light,
Even a jaded mortal
Would gasp at the holy sight!

Nature's secret door...
Happy Sunday!
great
And I wonder what would happen if one were to step through that portal? It seems magical....
What an awesome shot !
This tree is amazing and yes! ... I can well imagine it is a portal .. it has to be : )
Excellent shadow shot and words that draw you in even closer.
Joy : )
A secret doorway indeed and what a terrific capture/shadow shot for the day!!!
you live in a photographers delight-such glorious images every week!
Have a lovely day!
A shadowy entrance into the unknown.
I'd have to step through that portal. It does look like magic!
Nice tree - it appears to be an arch, a portal to the dry desert beyond its massive trunk. It leads us to parts unknown, as stout as a castle's wall. Very nice!
What a great old tree. I've never seen one of those before. Great shot. Thanks for sharing.
oh, how I'd love to visit where you live! intriguing shot
A very inviting archway
what a beautiful and inviting gateway into this sacred moment.
Beautiful and perfectly composed photo. Love the golden light.
It seems that Someone knows what He's doing.
Giving a secret portal in the nature is wonder.
Happy SSS2...

Nice, very nice indeed with a special poem.
Very dramatic, but wow, it's making me thirsty :)
