A shadowy street scene in Zacatecas, Mexico
Along old walls shadows dance,
Not in Germany or France,
But in sunny Mexico—
See them prancing to and fro!
Not in Germany or France,
But in sunny Mexico—
See them prancing to and fro!

TAKE AIM AT THE SHADOWS!
There is no easy walk to freedom anywhere, and many of us will have to pass through the valley of the shadow of death again and again before we reach the mountaintop of our desires.

MMT this is a wonderful picture not only for the shadows but for the exposed brick, a favourite of mine .. the staircase with the private gating .. the subtle but beautiful colours of the house paints ..the decorative motif and balconies on the blue house .. it is all wonderful: )
Now if only all that "busy" wiring was absent ?
It would be perfect !

PS .. I appreciated the little ditty of a poem too : )
loving the colors in the photo...contrasting with the blue sky. now if only the car and the wires were gone...great shot mmt!!!
Mexican shadowy postcard!
Happy and this time SUNNY weekend from Helsinki! :)
I love the yellow building with its stone steps!
I love old shots like this ~ there is always a story, and the shadows clue you in a bit more to what else you are missing!!
Happy SSS!
And, oh, how I love dancing and playing amongst the shadows!
Love your dancing shadows!
Thanks for hosting.
Have a great weekend.
Mette
They do indeed look like they are dancing.
Wow, we don't see too many turquoise buildings here in Connecticut. ;-)
Looks like you were there on a lovely day. Here everything is cloudy and gray.
Thanks for hosting, MMT.
Love the colour of the buildings and the soft shadows!
Shadows dancing between the once colorful buildings take us down to sunny Mexico. Happy SSS!
can't figure out the wall if it's old or new building but i love the shot that's perfect for Shadow Shot Sunday!
It gives the illusion of movement and even sound.
lovely Mexico and it's intriguing shadows!
Couldn't resist adding a second shadowy shot!
Looking for all the Shadows is like the Old Highlights Magazine for Children--wonderful shot,
John
Love the dancing shadows.
The character of the buildings... wonderful!
Great artwork created by the weathering paint on the walls! A fascinating mix of light and shadow in the streetscape!
I love the colours in this image, and the shadows are so crisp and clear, love those steps on the right hand side and the shadows in there..very intriguing makes me want to go up them and see what's inside.
interesting shadows on those colorful walls. :)
The Shadow Dance...indeed!!! Love it.
At first glance I thought that lantern was a kite shadow. Very nice shot. My post is on the rocky coast of Massachusetts.
Love this shot!
I love Mexico. Nice shadow shot.

Love the colors and peeling paint on those buildings.
That is a cool photo
I really like this one. A great feeling of light and air. My sister lives in San Miguel and this could be taken on her street. Thanks for hosting, too.
Lots of interesting shadows dancing on these colorful walls.
Intriguing. I have shadows on walls too today.
Beautiful shadows. I love the colours of the building too.
That is a very nice shot with texture, color and shadows. Thanks for the nice comment on my blog. Have a wonderful day!------- Shannon

That's a fabulous photo ... I love the birght colors contrasting with the shadows and the crumbling walls
MMT... I love all of your street shots from Mexico. These shadows are indeed dancing amongst the walls. This is the year I make it to Mexico for sure.
Thanks for hosting SSS2 this week and for being one of the organizers. We all have fun doing Shadow Shots and visiting each other. Glad you are keeping it alive.
Peace
Thanks for always being here. :))
and I would LOVE to see this picture in person but wouldn't go to Mexico now if they begged me. Too chicken...:)

Mexico has some very interesting sights that cast a nice shadow.
Really interesting, rustic looking and beautiful in its own way.

I love the walls in Mexican towns; they're so colorful and with those shadows on them, they're really coming alive too! Thanks for stopping by.
Glad to be part of this.
