Spines and shadows

 photo AnzaBospinesshadows_zpsf5798697.jpg
Spines of a cholla cactus, Anza-Borrego Desert, Southern California

Spines and shadows mingling
On the desert floor;
Something is a-tingling—
Who could ask for more?

  1. The desert is beautiful, but the protective measures that cactus employ to stay safe look quite painful. Admire - but don't touch!

  3. It's such a beautiful image, but I can't look it at too much as the thorns give me the eebie geebies!

Always remember, a sign of shadows means a sign of light.
Namaste.
