Shadows at day's end, Yuma Pioneer Cemetery, Yuma, Arizona
Stealing through the graveyard
Shadows 'mid the tombstones
Sadder than the sea.

What a beautiful cemetery. What's remarkable (aside from the dramatic lighting offered by the time of day) is that all the headstones are the same.
Nice shot! Nice prose (as always).
What is sad is when no one comes to visit or remember them.
Beautiful sad lilt in your poem complementing the atmospheric shadows in the photo.
The gravestone shadows are like dark ghosts.
the arrangement seems sombre and bright at the same time
Eine traurig Athmosphäre, aber ein
Einen schönen Sonntag
sad to see some unflowered gravestones ...
Heartbreaking scene but this is the reality.
Beautiful solemn graveyard.
Head stones do cast some nice shadows. I've done a few of them myself. Nicely done and thanks for sharing! :)
shadows are rather surrepticious (sp?) lovely shot!
If cemeteries could talk .... imagine the stories!!!
diane @ thoughts and shots
Would have been nice to capture a few visitors...:)JP
Somehow that does seem so sad. I usually don't think of cemeteries as a sad place, but maybe it's the lack of lush green grass.
