Shadowy Portal

 photo SonoranSept20132632a_zps91ea0083.jpg
Ironwood tree, Sonoran Desert, Southern Arizona

Through a shadowy portal,
Emerging into the light,
Even a jaded mortal
Would gasp at the holy sight!

  8. Nice tree - it appears to be an arch, a portal to the dry desert beyond its massive trunk. It leads us to parts unknown, as stout as a castle's wall. Very nice!

Always remember, a sign of shadows means a sign of light.
