Evening shadows on historic Chase Creek Street, Clifton, Arizona
When shadows brush the mountains
As the sun is going down,
A hush of peace descending
Shrouds the dusty mining town.

Happy Midsummer holidays from Finland!
Great shadow shot and words to match as always! Thanks for hosting the fun! Enjoy your weekend!
wonderful shot! I had no idea that any town streets with no paving still existed. thanks for sharing!
a wonderful weekend wished for you and yours!
What an interesting composition. I love the late afternoon light and miss the clear Arizona air.
This reminds me of an old fashioned Western movie set (except it is in color and minus the truck). Almost as if the Earp brothers and Clantons are about to mix it up in Tombstone...it seems such a classic mining town. I like the simplicity of this!
Love the poem--you do have a "way with words". Have a great weekend. Mickie :)
Wonderful lighting creates a sense of drama closing! Beautiful!
Great shadowy shot.
Feels like a step back in time. Wonderful image.
Love those long evening shadows. So dark and so defined. Mine is also an evening shadow. Great shot!
Well! LOL! I guess I was more discombobulated from yesterday's trip than I thought I was! I didn't realie until now that I had not posted my link here. No wonder...well, better late than never, I say.
Your image does feel like time travel or New Mexico!
This composition between light and shadows seems to tell a long long story...
Wish you a lovely Sunday.
Lovely colours here...
Thanks for hosting.
Very interesting location. It looks haunted.
Love this...if it weren't for the vehicle, it would be quite reminiscent of a AZ. Ghost Town.
Lovely poem and image! Have a great day!
I love the verse that accents this photo. They go so well together.
