That's a beautiful shot, love the horses! Thanks for joining this weekend and have a great weekend!

We personify the horses and think they are in a stockade. Yet, the horses don't care - they feel protected while they feed and drink inside. The loyalty of their handlers are appreciated...

Love the horses! My choice for SSS is up, shadows in the background.

the shadows appear to be creeping up on the horses

Isn't that a cool place? They do have the best shadows and I also imagine that this time of year, there should also be lots of baby sheep (ewes) wandering around with their mothers. Makes me want to go on another road trip!

I'm with Cassie about what Ralph said .. he always has just the right thing to say about our shadow shots ;-)
It is a wonderful shot .. I can almost hear the horse softly stomp a bit .. snort a bit .. I don't mind the smell of horses at all either. I just can't ride anymore darn it!

Love all the shadows.
When I saw those horses waiting, it gave me a chuckle. My brother's animals know the exact time of feeding, and they are waiting just like this.

I love this one. The way the shadows point to the horses is just great. Thanks for hosting!

Oh, poor horsies. Those shadows make quite a corral.

Striking shadowy verticals seeming to frame the horses! Lovely photo!

At first I thought it was the OK Corral in Tombstone. Neat picture.

I don't know if I am happy if I am inside the fence, then just think I am sorrounded with shadows too §;-)

Great shot Gem! Hope your enjoying your last days of hot and sunny days.
Unlike us here in Sweden/EU. We're still struggling Mother Nature's decision this Spring.

Happy SSS,
/C

The straight lines in that shadow shot are intriguing. Love it. I've posted hope you all enjoy. Happy Shadow Shot Sunday everyone!

A good question! The crisp shadow doesn't fit with the blurred reality! You may have chanced on some new scientific fact!

Long, long shadows - it looks hot & dusty!

Lovely photo. The horses are beautiful as well as the long shadows of the fence.

Those long shadows seem menacing somehow. Interesting shot!

beautiful...fences must be a theme today!

It would be a beautiful shot without the shadows, but the shadows give it an eery tone ... makes it much more interesting.
Nice job,
