surrounded by a fence of shadows. awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful shot, love the horses! Thanks for joining this weekend and have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWe personify the horses and think they are in a stockade. Yet, the horses don't care - they feel protected while they feed and drink inside. The loyalty of their handlers are appreciated...

Oh yeah, what Ralph just said! Very cool Shadow Shot.
ReplyDeleteAww..I hope they find more than just shadows in their trough!
ReplyDeleteLove the fenceline of shadows!!
Love the horses! My choice for SSS is up, shadows in the background.
ReplyDeletethe shadows appear to be creeping up on the horses
ReplyDeleteIsn't that a cool place? They do have the best shadows and I also imagine that this time of year, there should also be lots of baby sheep (ewes) wandering around with their mothers. Makes me want to go on another road trip!
ReplyDeleteNoble horses surrounded by beautiful shadows...
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
I'm with Cassie about what Ralph said .. he always has just the right thing to say about our shadow shots ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt is a wonderful shot .. I can almost hear the horse softly stomp a bit .. snort a bit .. I don't mind the smell of horses at all either. I just can't ride anymore darn it!
Joy
great slatty shadows.
ReplyDeleteLove these great shadows! Like an interior shadowy fence!
ReplyDeleteGreat haiku as well!
I love the shadowy fence and the moping horses wondering where the food is???? Terrific shot for the day! Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteSylvia
Love those fence shadows....
ReplyDeleteLove all the shadows.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw those horses waiting, it gave me a chuckle. My brother's animals know the exact time of feeding, and they are waiting just like this.
I love this one. The way the shadows point to the horses is just great. Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteOh, poor horsies. Those shadows make quite a corral.
ReplyDeleteStriking shadowy verticals seeming to frame the horses! Lovely photo!
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought it was the OK Corral in Tombstone. Neat picture.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I am happy if I am inside the fence, then just think I am sorrounded with shadows too §;-)
ReplyDeleteGreat shot Gem! Hope your enjoying your last days of hot and sunny days.
Unlike us here in Sweden/EU. We're still struggling Mother Nature's decision this Spring.
Happy SSS,
/C
The straight lines in that shadow shot are intriguing. Love it. I've posted hope you all enjoy. Happy Shadow Shot Sunday everyone!
ReplyDeleteA good question! The crisp shadow doesn't fit with the blurred reality! You may have chanced on some new scientific fact!
ReplyDeleteLong, long shadows - it looks hot & dusty!
ReplyDeleteLovely photo. The horses are beautiful as well as the long shadows of the fence.
ReplyDeleteThose long shadows seem menacing somehow. Interesting shot!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great composition !!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving this shot too. (And I hope someone came and fed those poor ponies!)
ReplyDeletehappy sunday .. is it the end or the beginning of the week ... love those shadows ..
ReplyDeletebeautiful...fences must be a theme today!
ReplyDeleteIt would be a beautiful shot without the shadows, but the shadows give it an eery tone ... makes it much more interesting.
ReplyDeleteNice job,
Andrea @ From The Sol
Neat shadows around the horses!
ReplyDeleteDon't fence me in.....remember that song!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot!!!!
Thanks so much!
John
