Stray feather, Yuma Conservation Garden, Yuma, Arizona
Just a hint of shadows,
Where a feather lies
On the desert landscape
Under blazing skies.

I am always running into feathers on the ground like this and wonder which bird it came from. I'd like to think that it also means something really good, symbolically to run into feathers. Like a lucky charm.
wonderful detailed photo - and your poem fits this image perfectly.
The lighter than air feather has seemingly hit the earth with nary a thud...the bird seems to feel nothing as if floats on the thermals in search of a new nesting place...
The shadow is a subtle as a feather is light.
Your poems always reinforce the photos.
What a fine little shadow. The poem suited it perfectly.
So many simple but beautiful things in the world. Have a blessed week.
And it's going to get more blazing as the weeks go by! Great find! Thanks for hosting.
A very pretty example of a slight shadow.
Feathers are so beautiful made, a pity the birds lose them.
Lovely! Thanks for hosting.
A beautifully natural find!...:)JP

No doubt the feather's shade gives happiness some bugs in the desert.
