Shadows in the Rubble

Ruined building.El Charco del Ingenio photo ruinselcharco_zpsa6804118.jpg
Shadows in a ruined building, El Charco del Ingenio, San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, México

Shadows in the rubble,
Scattered on the floor,
Looking for an exit,
Searching for a door!

Haunting haiku. Thanks for sharing.

The sunshine adds a bit of life to this derelict building, the long gone roof no more. At least the walls stand, showcasing the solid construction underneath. If only the roof were maintained, the building would have some use...maybe

Call me crazy, but if you insert the words to this poem into the song, "Riders In the Storm" (was it by the Doors?), it fits pretty well!
Can't help but wonder about the history of this place that you shot.

Modern day "ruins" evoke something sad in me, and this image with its shadows makes me nostalgic! Have a great weekend. Jo

This seems a portent to California's recent earthquake. Our two coasts have taken a beating this winter and spring. In your verse, looking for a door with none in sight sounds like a nightmare to me.
