Love the tree in the background of all those rusty tins!
ReplyDeleteFabulous shot and haiku!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pale light so that even the desert trash takes on a work of art!
ReplyDeleteI do agree with Gemma!! A work of art indeed and wonderful words as always!!
ReplyDeleteyou did capture it as art
ReplyDeleteI wish humans were better to the earth
makes for a great photo.
ReplyDeleteStunning photo. Love the colors...it doesn't really look like trash. Looks like a piece of art they way you've photographed it.
ReplyDeleteYour wonderful haiku succinctly tells the story.
I love the earthy tone... such a great capture.
ReplyDeleteHope you had an enjoyable time taking shots in a desert area. Wish to experience this one day.
Happy SSS2...

ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend and thanks for hosting!
ah...yes, the presences of humans is distinctly strong. despite it being debris...the colors and textures of this photo are lovely. great shot mmt!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous color and texture. Rust rules.
ReplyDeleteI hate to see the trash but sure made a good shadow.
ReplyDeleteLove the words you chose...so perfect for this picture! Love all that rusty-ness.....feels very fall-like as well!
ReplyDeleteLovely Observation...
ReplyDeleteEven what we consider trash .. looks beautiful in the sunlight and shadows .. yes, sadly humans leave evidence of their uncaring attitude all over the earth .. I think the earth has had enough of us ?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous picture in any case MMT !
Joy : )
Love the patinaed glass, love the rusty cans! That stuff has been there a while to sport that coat of time.
ReplyDeleteI really like the idea of shadow art/photography...shadows can be dramatic to lighthearted...moody and even playful...thanks for the venue!!!
ReplyDeleteIt may be trash but it is beautiful trash! Great photo.
ReplyDeleteI love the way this is composed!
ReplyDeleteSuch an interesting arrangement. Love the warm colors that make even dirt look good.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteMan has "left his mark" just about everywhere--so sad. Great shot and haiku though. Have a nice Sunday. Mickie :)
ReplyDeleteVery rustic shadows!
ReplyDeleteIt is a shame that people leave their things in the desert or other places for that matter. But, you did find some lovely shadows in the rubble. Great Job!
ReplyDeleteNice light and shadows! I like the rusty metal tins. Even junk left behind can make a good photo subject.
ReplyDeleteLove your haiku (but not so much the detritus that inspired it)!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pity! But a great composition of an interesting selection of rubbish!

It is a shame that all of the comments have to be regarding the spoilage of the man virus. Will we ever learn ... probably not or we would have by now. Let us hope that we can preserve some sanctuaries that remain pristine. The picture is beautifully ugly, if there is such a thing and it speaks loudly. Good job ...
ReplyDeleteAndrea @ From the Sol
really well composed; had to look up the word "detritus"
ReplyDeletemuch love...
Even though I know (intellectually), I still forget that even in the desert there is trash. However, this pile of trash is interestingly photogenic. And, I admire the poem!
ReplyDeletethis is a brilliant photograph- great capture!
ReplyDeleteI love this photo, reminds me of home a little bit. I used to find weird stuff like this in the shore growing up.
ReplyDeleteGlad to have visited all of your entries.
DeleteLovely shot, Gemma. My first time with Shadow Shot Sunday :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting.
I love this photo. So warm and inviting, and it's trash! Lighting is everything, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteBy the way, got another nasty popup from this site. Better check that all is well here.
