What a contrast between the scene being photographed and the shadowy spot from which it's taken!

What a beautiful shadow shot for the day and the perfect words as always! Our world does indeed need all the prayers it can get these days! Hope you have a great weekend and thanks as always for continuing the shadowy weekend fun!

The cactus leaves look as if they are outstretched hands, each leaf a 'finger' lifted to beckon us. Stunningly beautiful in sunny and shadowy detail!

MMT .. I see many more little birds in this amazing aged cactus .. perhaps it is their haven from the world .. a place to feel safe, guarded by those thorns?
Great shot for today !

Love the cactus shadow and the trinity of wrens. Such as serene shot.

The contrast of bright light against the shadow is striking.

As the others said, we can't have enough prayers in this crazy world in which we live.

I like the way it appears we are sneaking around behind the prickly hedge of cactus shadows to get a peak at the open yard and it's straggly shadows!

The cactus plant gives a beautiful, natural frame round the depth of the scene! Beautiful!

That's a mighty big cactus in the shadows. A quite lovely scene with the sun shining brightly and a clear blue sky. Shadows of the tree on the green lawn as well. Nice!
Happy Sunday!

Great shadow shot. Hope you didn't get a cactus thorn while getting this wonderful photo. Looks like you had to get behind it. Wonderful haiku as well.
