I follow crooked pathways—
long is the journey.

lovely shadow shot!
Hi! It's my first time to join Shadow Shot Sunday! :)
Playing along this week.
It always seems so incongruous to see sand and snow together. A lovely shadow shot!
Greetings from brrrrrr country - it's -14
(6.8 ºF). In the north last night it was -40,3
(-40.54 ºF) - I'm lucky to live in south! :)
Happy weekend!
snow hiding in the shadows...holding on until it can't take it anymore. awesome shot mmt!!
I miss this kind of scene! Great shot MMT. Thanks everyone for playing along!
What a nice shadow shot. Love the touch of snow on the side. Have a nice weekend. Mickie :)
great shadow shots from everyone! Cheers and have a great weekend!
Nice beckoning shot :)
a pretty creek bed!
Lovely shadow shot! It is trying to snow here - hopefuly it won't succeed!!
I love the way shadows loom and fall.
Very nice shot. They deserts of Arizona and New Mexico are great spots for photos. Thanks for sharing. I've been "horsing around" for my post this week.
Sand. Snow. Shadows. The perfect SSS trifecta!
Very good and nice photo.
Regards and best wishes
Hi MMT,
Snow? I don't think of snow when I think Arizona. ;-)
Long indeed is the journey.
Thanks for hosting.
I love the combination of Snow and sand. I don't usually see them together. Great shot!
....ummm, is that snow in the shadows? Hmmmm, desert area?
it's like 2 seasons side by side
snowy winter and sandy summer
very cool
I love the word arroyo, and your poem, and the snow.
So ironic to see the snow in the desert. It's water, but it stays on the surface. It might even evaporate (there's a word for that but I forget) before it melts into the earth.
At first that looks like water slipping down! Love this shadowy meeting of snow and sand!
You know how much I love this one already!!! Looks so warm, and then you see SNOW!!!
Blessings,
John
Hi all, my choice for SSS is up. Stop by if you have time.

At first, it looks like a warm and cozy day meant to be spent meandering through this dry creek bed. Then the snow comes into view and it all changes; the temperature drops, but I just put on a down vest and keep on walking. I love this!
Now, this, my dear one, is an awesome photo. I love it. :)
O and did you know you have word verification on??.....just sayin' :)
How nice it would be walking along this warm sand path wrapped in shadows.
This looks just lovely. We're heading down there next week. I'll bring my woolies.
Amazing image! Great shot.
Love your shadow shot and Haiku :-)
I too have a sandy scene...
Hugs, antonella :-)

Very inviting shot, MMT—and I like your haiku too!

Wonderful shadow shot, so scenic.
Love the photo and words. Great shot.
Now how perfect can this be ? the sand hollow with a wee bit of snow there ? I would love to walk through this and see what is on the other side !
Joy : )
Thanks so much for hosting this fun linky party.
