Old Shadows

Old farming equipment at Coolart, a 19th century homestead at Somers on the Mornington Peninsula.

Old farming machines
Once just worked the heavy earth
Now shadows of art

Welcome to the shadows of Shadow Shot Sunday!

Shadow quote on chubskulit's Etcetera Etcetera:
I don't need a friend who changes when I change and who nods when I nod; my shadow does that much better. - Plutarch

May the sunlight and shadows always be with you!

The old machinery has gotten a new lease on life as shadow makers!

This is almost like a retirement party for the machinery that worked so hard for so many years .. an appreciation of their shadows as art is perfect !

Implements of work have an honest style - in both form and shadow. Form and function have their own beauty!

Sharp-toothed implements,
Old and worn from hard use, now
Rusting quietly.
